HTML2APK (HTML to APK) is the process of packaging a web page or web app — HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets — into an Android application package (APK) that installs on a phone like any other app. The page runs inside Android's WebView, so the app looks and behaves like your HTML, with its own icon and name.
How it works in one paragraph
A converter takes a prebuilt Android app whose whole screen is a WebView, places your files inside it, applies your name, icon, package name and colours, and signs it so Android will install it. Nothing is translated: your JavaScript runs in the same Chromium engine as Chrome.
What you need
- An
index.html(one file or a ZIP of a project) - A square icon
- A converter — for example the free HTML & ZIP to APK Builder app
HTML2APK vs other approaches
